World introduced World ID for Banking and Finance, a toolset designed to help banks, financial institutions and enterprise clients verify identities and reduce AI-powered fraud. It also announced the public release of World ID for Zoom after a limited beta test that began in April 2026. The Zoom tool checks whether a video-call participant is a real person, using images from biometric enrollment, a smartphone and the call.
World named Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital and VanEck Funds as early partners exploring uses for the technology. It has not named any banks directly using the product or disclosed the toolset’s price.
