The Worldcoin team has launched its World ID verification service in Austria, installing Orb scanners in Vienna. This expansion adds Austria to the over 6.3 million global users who have verified their identities with World ID.
The service, which recently debuted in Germany, uses advanced biometric technology. Orb scanners were audited by Trail of Bits for security, and Worldcoin publicized its Secure Multi-Party Computation system’s source code to enhance trust.
However, Worldcoin faces regulatory challenges in Spain and Portugal, impacting its operations. Despite this, the initiative could significantly boost secure transactions in the cryptocurrency market, fostering broader digital currency adoption.
