Grayscale’s research team used an October 23 note to examine three proposed roles for blockchain in AI infrastructure: DATA’s contributed training data, USD.AI’s GPU-backed lending and Pearl’s computing network. The examples reflect Grayscale’s selections and expectations, not proven outcomes across the sector.
USD.AI’s documentation says its loans are secured by GPUs and related cash flows, with recourse generally limited to that collateral, subject to specified exceptions. The excerpt also distinguishes USD.AI’s non-yield-bearing USDai, income-accruing sUSDai and CHIP governance token. A useful service does not, by itself, establish the value or rights of an associated token.
