USDC PSM Buffer Proposal Doubles to $800M

Sky Governance Proposes Doubling LITE-PSM-USDC-A Parameters

  • BA Labs suggests increasing the LITE-PSM-USDC-A parameters from $400 million to $800 million.
  • USDC reserves have risen to $4.13 billion, marking a growth of 108% since October.
  • The proposal aims to enhance daily refresh capacity to $1.6 billion and total serving capacity to $2.4 billion.
  • The Core Facilitator team has approved the proposal for an Executive Vote, pending formal approval.

The proposed changes by BA Labs aim to strengthen the Sky stablecoin system’s ability to manage large stablecoin flows, reflecting significant growth in USDC reserves since the last adjustment in October. This adjustment is crucial for maintaining liquidity and operational efficiency during periods of high conversion activity.

If formally approved, this parameter increase will provide the Sky system with enhanced capacity to handle large USDC conversion flows more effectively, reducing the need for frequent recalibrations and supporting smoother transaction handling within the protocol.
