The UK Financial Conduct Authority said it settled its High Court case against crypto exchange HTX and secured undertakings that it will not unlawfully promote crypto services to UK consumers. The settlement terms are confidential, and the settlement is not an admission of liability or wrongdoing, the FCA said.
The FCA said HTX is no longer active in the UK: UK consumers cannot make deposits, and new UK users cannot sign up. HTX said existing UK customers are blocked from trading and have 48 hours to withdraw their assets before their accounts are closed. The FCA began the case in October 2025, its first against a crypto firm under UK financial promotion rules.
