Mt. Gox Extends Repayment Deadline to 2027

Mt. Gox rehabilitation trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi extended the defunct exchange’s creditor repayment deadline from October 31, 2026, to October 31, 2027, with a Tokyo court’s approval. He said repayments have largely been completed for creditors who finished the required procedures without problems, but many others remain unpaid because they have not completed the procedures or encountered issues during the process.

This is the fourth one-year extension. Wallets linked to Mt. Gox still hold about 34,388 BTC, worth roughly $2.8 billion, according to blockchain analytics firm Arkham.
