Nine Blue-Chip Companies Reject Tokenized Stocks

Nine companies objected to their shares trading on OKXICE, a planned tokenized-stock venue from OKX and the owner of the New York Stock Exchange. They account for 14% of the 63 companies the venue planned to list. The notice did not say why they objected or whether the objections will keep their shares off the venue.

OKXICE has not announced a launch date. It is not registered with the SEC or subject to Regulation NMS, which protects access to the best displayed price. Trading would be capped at a fraction of each stock’s normal volume, and administrators could upgrade its smart contracts without advance notice.
