JPMorgan upgraded Unitree from underweight to overweight on Oct. 26 and raised its price target to 995 yuan. Unitree shares closed at 672 yuan on Monday, up about two-thirds since Oct. 15, giving the robot maker a market value of 271.8 billion yuan ($40.8 billion).
At an Oct. 22 conference, founder Wang Xingxing predicted that large AI models could make a breakthrough in physical AI in one to three years, depending on how development goes. Unitree already sells robots, but researchers have flagged security flaws, including the transmission of audio, video and spatial data to outside servers without notifying users.
