Binance: First withdrawals open after $6.3B hack

Binance said it reopened Bitcoin network withdrawals as the first phase of restoring access after a hack involving about $6.3 billion in funds. Other asset and network pairs were not yet available across the board; Binance said it would restore them in phases after stability and security checks. It warned that congestion, longer processing times and temporary delays were possible, and told users to check availability for their chosen asset and network.

Binance had suspended withdrawals after the attack, which the FBI blamed on North Korean operatives. Cointelegraph reported that Binance said it had replenished 90% of the stolen assets.
