Hacker Returns $20 Million in Stolen Funds from GMX DEX Exploit

  • After promising to return the funds, the attacker has returned about $20 million so far, including $9 million in Ether (ETH) and $10.5 million in FRAX tokens.

Following a significant exploit on GMX v1, where $40 million was stolen, approximately half of those funds have been returned after negotiations with the hacker. The incident highlights vulnerabilities within decentralized finance platforms and their response mechanisms.
