Malware Targets Crypto Wallets via Fake Microsoft Office Add-Ins

  • The actual malware size is only 7MB within a seemingly legitimate 700MB installer.

According to Kaspersky, around 4,604 Russian users encountered this malware scheme between early January and late March. The malware replaces crypto wallet addresses on clipboards, leading victims to unknowingly send funds to attackers.
