zk.money Relaunches with Enhanced Private Wallet Features

Aztec Relaunches zk.money Wallet for Private Transactions

  • The non-custodial zk.money wallet was relaunched on September 29, allowing private crypto payments.
  • It operates on the Ethereum layer-2 privacy-focused Aztec Network.
  • Transactions do not reveal user balances or transfer amounts on the public blockchain, though Ethereum deposits remain visible.
  • Initial transaction limits are set to under $2,500 for deposits, payments, and withdrawals.
  • Users can deposit DAI, USDC, and USDT, with the latter two converted to DAI upon deposit.

The original zk.money was launched in March and processed over $100 million in transactions before its discontinuation in March of the following year due to architectural limitations. The new version utilizes a revamped architecture from the Ignition Chain mainnet deployed in November.

With its relaunch, zk.money aims to enhance privacy in crypto transactions while maintaining user control over their keys and limiting initial transaction sizes to under $2,500.(Source)
