Bitwise reported that Ethereum ended Q3 with a record 43.8 million ETH staked, or 35.9% of its supply, while its annualized staking yield fell from 2.81% to 2.63%. Ethereum’s validator count also fell, but the source says the Pectra upgrade lets operators consolidate validators without reducing the ETH backing them, so the count alone does not show weaker security.
The report also put Solana’s active stake at a record 440.5 million SOL as its gross staking yield fell from 6.38% to 5.99%. Solana’s tokenized-equity trading volume rose 45% to $6.93 billion in Q3, while Hyperliquid recorded $261.5 billion in non-crypto perpetual trading.
