Aave V4 Arc Market Holds $76M USDC

Aave V4 Launches on Arc Layer-1 with Low Borrowing Activity

  • Aave V4 went live on the Arc Layer-1 network on September 16, attracting approximately $76 million in USDC liquidity.
  • By September 17, less than $100,000 had been borrowed, resulting in a utilization rate of about 0.1%.
  • LlamaRisk proposed increasing the Arc Main Spoke’s USDC add cap from $56 million to $150 million due to rapid deposit activity.
  • The initial Main Spoke draw cap was set at $51 million, which remained unchanged despite the proposed increase in the add cap.
  • At launch, Aave’s broader deposit figures increased from approximately $577.1 million to $708.6 million across multiple hubs.

The low borrowing levels indicate that while liquidity is available, it is not being utilized effectively within the market. The proposed adjustments to the USDC add cap aim to accommodate future deposits and encourage borrowing activity.

Currently, Aave’s Arc market shows significant liquidity with around $76 million supplied but minimal borrowing activity under $100,000 highlights a lack of engagement from borrowers.(Source)
