Ethereum’s Fusaka Upgrade Set for Early December with Blob Capacity Enhancements
- The Fusaka upgrade is scheduled for December 3, pending successful tests on three public test networks in October.
- Following Fusaka, the first Blob Parameter Only (BPO) fork will increase blob capacity from a target of 6/9 to 10/15.
- A second BPO fork will further expand capacity to a maximum of 14/21 one week after the first.
- Blobs, introduced in the March Dencun upgrade, enhance data storage efficiency for rollup transactions on Ethereum.
- Developer Christine Kim noted that additional BPOs are planned beyond the initial two discussed.
