Bitmine Immersion Reduces Ether Accumulation After Major Purchase
- Bitmine Immersion (BMNR) purchased 26,497 ether (ETH) last week for approximately $53 million.
- The latest acquisition raised Bitmine’s total holdings to nearly 5.42 million ETH, about 4.49% of the circulating supply.
- This purchase marked a decrease of over 75% from the previous week’s acquisition of 120,000 ETH.
- Bitmine has acquired more than one million ETH since the start of the year and is nearing its goal of owning 5% of ETH’s supply.
- The firm’s total crypto and cash holdings were valued at $11.6 billion as of May, including assets like Bitcoin and cash reserves.
Despite a slowdown in purchases, Bitmine remains one of the few major firms actively increasing its cryptocurrency holdings while others, like Michael Saylor’s Strategy, are selling assets. The company is also focusing on generating income through staking operations, estimated to yield around $258 million annually.
As of last week, Bitmine holds nearly five million tokens after acquiring a significant amount this year, indicating strong commitment to its long-term strategy.(Source)
