Ethereum’s Hegotá Upgrade to Allow Gas Fee Payments in Stablecoins

The Ethereum Foundation has confirmed that EIP-8141 will be a key feature of the Hegotá upgrade, which follows Glamsterdam targeted for December of the previous year. This upgrade aims to enhance user experience by eliminating the need for separate ETH wallets for transactions involving other assets.
With EIP-8141’s implementation, users can expect improved transaction flexibility and efficiency by allowing stablecoin payments for gas fees while still paying network fees in ETH. (Source)
