Ethereum ETFs Approved: Trading Begins July 23

The SEC has given final approval for spot Ethereum ETFs to start trading on July 23, as confirmed by Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas. These ETFs will be available once US markets open at 09:30 Eastern Time.

This marks a significant milestone, as it’s the first time the SEC has approved spot Ethereum ETFs, opening the door for regulated investment in Ethereum. Analysts predict that these funds could attract between $5.4 billion and $15 billion in the first six months.

Although these ETFs may not draw as much investment as Bitcoin ETFs, they are expected to boost Ethereum’s market, potentially causing a broader cryptocurrency rally. Ethereum was trading at $3480 at the time of the announcement, according to CryptoSlate.

This development is pivotal, as it provides a regulated avenue for hesitant investors to engage with Ethereum, potentially transforming the crypto investment landscape.
