Ethereum ETFs Skyrocket with $361M Volume Early

Spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) debuted with significant investor interest, amassing $361 million in volume within the first 90 minutes of trading. This strong start ranks these ETFs among the top 1% in overall ETF volume, comparable to well-known funds like TLT and EEM.

Grayscale’s ETHE led with $147.8 million, followed by BlackRock’s ETHA with $71.4 million, and Bitwise’s ETHW at $50.4 million. Fidelity’s FETH saw $49.3 million in volume. The remaining ETFs also contributed, notably outperforming typical new ETF launches, which often struggle to exceed $1 million on their first day.

Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas highlighted that this collective volume ranks about 15th overall in ETF volume, showcasing a robust demand for Ethereum-based investment vehicles. Despite performing at 20% to 25% of Bitcoin ETF volumes, Ethereum ETFs showed strong adoption, aligning with projections.

This surge in Ethereum ETF trading signals increasing investor interest in digital assets, boosting their visibility and integration into mainstream financial products. The sustained interest in these ETFs could significantly impact the future of crypto investments.
