Ethereum developers postponed the Glamsterdam upgrade planned for the Hoodi testnet on October 26, with no replacement activation date set. The Ethereum Foundation said developers needed to investigate how EIP-8037 interacts with mainnet smart contracts. The change removes the planned Hoodi activation and cancels a linked increase in the testnet’s gas limit to 200 million.
The foundation told Hoodi operators to follow updated execution- and consensus-client releases, but said Ethereum mainnet users need take no action. The notice set no mainnet upgrade date, and the postponement does not reverse any past blocks.
