Lido says it launched its permissionless 0x02 Community Staking Module on October 23, but operators will not receive a validator’s full possible stake at once. Operators post a bond of 32 ETH for the first key and 30 ETH for each additional key. Lido initially allocates a 32 ETH seed deposit to each new key, with further deposits entering a separate queue after activation.
The module starts with a limit of 0.01% of Lido Core’s total value locked and 32 top-up seats. More capacity depends on staged governance approval and sufficient protocol inflows, so the 2,048 ETH effective-balance ceiling is not an immediate allocation promise. Existing 0x01 operators can continue without switching modules.
