Zcash infrastructure team Zakura has proposed a separate incoming viewing key and refund address for each ZEC swap through Near Intents. The design is intended to limit any future exposure of a publicly posted address to payments tied to that swap, without changing the user’s spending key. Quantum computers are not cracking Zcash today; the risk described is theoretical.
Zakura also proposes private information retrieval to help restored wallets find transactions without revealing which refund address they are checking. It says compatible software wallets could add the feature within weeks, while hardware-wallet support is expected later.
