Zcash Launches First ETP in Europe

Zcash’s First ETP Launches in Europe, Boosting Investor Access

  • 21Shares launched Europe’s first Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP) on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam on Sept. 22, trading under the ticker ZCASH with a 2.5% annual fee.
  • ZEC spiked to an intraday high near $1,680 before pulling back to roughly $1,522, marking a session decline of about 6.6%.
  • The European debut follows Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH), which launched on NYSE Arca on Aug. 25 and will complete a three-for-one share split on Sept. 30.
  • Zcash is a privacy coin that allows users to shield balances and transfers, offering an alternative to more transparent assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The launch of the Zcash ETP provides European investors with easier access to this privacy-focused cryptocurrency without the need for direct purchase or private key management risks.

Despite a brief price correction, the introduction of the Zcash ETP has added momentum to its market presence, as evidenced by its significant price movements and investor interest in privacy coins. Source
