Austrian crypto exchange Bitpanda has partnered with Germany’s largest lender, Deutsche Bank, to offer real-time payment solutions for users in Germany. The collaboration will use an API-based account solution to provide Bitpanda with access to German IBANs.
Deutsche Bank aims to penetrate new market areas while maintaining a cautious approach, only partnering with licensed and regulated companies that adhere to high compliance standards. Bitpanda has been active in Germany since 2022, following a license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
Deutsche Bank already supports Bitpanda’s cross-currency needs in Austria and Spain, further solidifying their relationship. This partnership is crucial for Bitpanda as it expands its footprint in the European market. The long-term strategic importance lies in enhancing banking solutions tailored for the evolving crypto industry.
