SEC Sues BitClout Founder for Fraud

The SEC has charged Nader Al-Naji, founder of BitClout, with cryptocurrency fraud, accusing him of misusing $7 million in investor funds for personal luxuries.

Al-Naji raised $257 million through unregistered securities sales since November 2020, allegedly diverting $7 million for a Beverly Hills mansion and family gifts.

Using the pseudonym “Diamondhands,” he misled investors by portraying BitClout as decentralized, attempting to evade regulatory scrutiny.

This case, alongside similar actions against other crypto projects, highlights the urgent need for compliance with securities laws to protect investors and maintain market integrity.
