The US SEC has delayed its decision on the pioneering 7RCC Spot Bitcoin and Carbon Credit Futures ETF to June 24, 2024.
This unique fund, a collaboration between 7RCC Global, Tidal Financial Group, and custodian Gemini, aims to merge 80% Bitcoin holdings with 20% carbon credit futures, marking a significant step towards integrating digital assets with environmental sustainability. This move comes after the SEC approved eleven other spot Bitcoin ETFs, highlighting the growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies in mainstream finance.
The 7RCC ETF stands out as the first to focus on environment-friendly investing within the crypto space, offering investors a novel way to support digital asset growth while contributing to environmental sustainability.
This decision postponement reflects the SEC’s cautious approach to novel crypto ETFs, but the eventual approval of 7RCC could set a precedent for future environmentally-focused financial products.
