StrathCole, a notable Terra Luna Classic developer, has warned that the current code for the Tax2Gas upgrade by Genuine Labs could cause significant issues. This upgrade aims to boost the chain’s utility and token prices.
Genuine Labs requested a review via Github, and StrathCole highlighted that the implementation needs more work and discussion. He suggested deploying it to a testnet first to avoid issues like impacting contracts, reduced rewards, and burns.
Despite these concerns, the community and validators trust in the successful implementation of Tax2Gas. They believe it could propel LUNC prices to $1 due to crypto exchange listings and the return of dApps.
Currently, LUNC prices rose by 1% in 24 hours, although trading volume decreased by 34%. Meanwhile, USTC prices rebounded by more than 1%.
Addressing these issues effectively is crucial for the long-term success and stability of the Terra Luna Classic ecosystem.
