Transak Integrates PayPal Stablecoin for Transactions

Transak has announced the listing of PayPal’s stablecoin, PayPal USD (PYUSD), on its platform. This allows users to purchase PYUSD using their preferred local payment methods.

The integration aims to tackle the challenge of converting traditional currencies into crypto, thus encouraging wider adoption. “By listing PYUSD, we’re providing a trusted on-ramp for traders,” said Sami Start, CEO of Transak.

PayPal’s PYUSD, backed by U.S. dollar deposits, U.S. Treasuries, and other cash equivalents, offers stability and a reliable entry into digital assets. It’s available on the Solana blockchain and can be bought or sold via PayPal and Venmo at a fixed rate of $1 per PYUSD.

Transak’s recent partnerships, like the one with Cometh, aim to simplify crypto purchases by eliminating intermediaries. According to Nick Robnett, Head of Asset Growth at Paxos, this move is a step towards meeting evolving consumer needs and expanding financial choices.

The integration of PYUSD on Transak is a strategic step towards the future of finance, leveraging stablecoins and blockchain technology to introduce users to decentralized finance safely.
