Nostra CEO Resigns After NSTR Token Launch

David Garai, founder of Starknet-powered crypto project Nostra, stepped down as CEO on June 28, just days after the launch of the NSTR token. Nostra allows users to lend, borrow, swap, and bridge crypto, and launched its token on June 17 with 100% of the supply unlocked.

Garai announced his resignation on X, revealing that Richard Thomas-Pryce, head of product, will take over day-to-day leadership. Garai cited a need for a break after four years of work but emphasized the team’s readiness to continue building Nostra.

Under Garai’s leadership, Nostra became the largest and most profitable protocol on Starknet, generating $2.5 million annually with over $180 million in total value locked (TVL). The platform plans to release Nostra Earn and STRK liquid staking, positioning itself as a frontrunner in the market.

The NSTR token’s market cap is currently $9.62 million, with its price near $0.096, following a 4% decline after Garai’s resignation. The token had reached a high of $0.21 on June 17. Despite the recent fluctuations, the project’s strategic initiatives signal long-term potential.
