Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said RLUSD’s growth was intended to support, not displace, XRP as the company’s focus. He said Ripple wanted more payments through its network, but the asset used would depend on the payment corridor and currency pair. Garlinghouse said about half of all RLUSD was issued on the XRP Ledger and described greater XRP liquidity, trust and utility as goals, not measured results.
