A People’s Bank of China official interviewed by the Financial Times said authorities stopped the event because they considered Solana’s promotion of its brand and cryptocurrency a violation of China’s restrictions. The official said authorities had suspended Solana’s offline promotional activities and begun investigating the companies and individuals involved.
