Ripple’s UNL validator voted in favor of the XRP Ledger’s Sponsor amendment, but the proposal has not activated on mainnet. The source says it has support from 11 of 35 UNL validators, or 31.43%; activation requires at least 28 votes, meeting an 80% threshold for two consecutive weeks.
The proposed amendment would let sponsors cover users’ transaction fees and account reserves by co-signing transactions or pre-funding sponsorships, while users retain control of their accounts and keys. The source says Ripple has approved all amendments in the XRPL v3.3.0 upgrade, but that approval does not mean the Sponsor amendment is active.
