Jump Crypto is offering Solana developers up to $1 million in a bug bounty program to identify vulnerabilities in the new Firedancer validator client. The campaign, sponsored by Immunefi, runs from July 10 to August 21, 2024.
Firedancer, showcased in 2022, can handle over 1 million transactions per second, adding significant client diversity to Solana’s ecosystem. This independent codebase reduces risks tied to supply chain attacks and common system vulnerabilities.
Developed by Cantelope Peel at Jump Crypto, Firedancer is built with C and Rust to manage large trade volumes. Bugs found in Firedancer v0.1 will be addressed within 24 hours on weekdays.
Launched on a Solana testnet in November 2023, Firedancer aims to enhance network speed and scalability. This initiative could solidify Solana’s position as the third-largest cryptocurrency, ensuring long-term growth and reliability.
