Ripple Expands Digital Economy Collaboration in Georgia #Crypto

Ripple executives recently met with Georgia’s National Bank Governor Natia Turnava to discuss digitalizing the economy using blockchain technology. The meeting in Tbilisi included Varlam Ebanoidze from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) and Ripple’s vice president James Wallis.

In 2023, NBG named Ripple its official partner for developing the digital lari, Georgia’s central bank digital currency (CBDC). This partnership marks a significant milestone as it aims to test CBDC technology for public sector, business, and retail use.
