Ripple has launched the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund to drive blockchain innovation in the Asia-Pacific region. Announced on Tuesday, this fund aims to enhance the XRP Ledger’s adoption through initiatives such as corporate partnerships, developer grants, startup investments, and community growth.
Ripple’s XRP Ledger is a decentralized, public blockchain integral to cross-border payments and remittances. This new fund aligns with Ripple’s global strategy to promote crypto ecosystems, leveraging a 1 billion XRP commitment.
Japan and Korea are pivotal hubs for blockchain, as noted by Ripple VP Emi Yoshikawa. Ripple will invest tens of millions of dollars in these regions, offering financial, technical, and corporate support via its XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator programs.
Ripple’s strategic partnerships, including those with Tokyo-based HashKey DX and financial giant SBI Holdings, underscore its long-term commitment to fostering blockchain innovation in these key markets.
