Uniswap Labs launched aggregator hooks on Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain on Oct. 22, allowing its web app and API to route swaps through external liquidity. Uniswap says seven sources were live at launch. The new adapters were built by Uniswap Labs, not the third parties whose hooks were examined in a separate 0x study.
In that study, 0x reported that some malicious Uniswap v4 hooks quoted one price and settled at another, with the largest reported shortfall reaching 50%. Those findings are 0x’s classifications, and 0x competes with Uniswap’s router. Uniswap says its router screens hooks, but 0x alleges that at least one malicious hook was on Uniswap’s allowlist.
Uniswap’s guidance says routing approval does not amount to a security audit or guarantee. An audit documented optional per-hop slippage checks for two specific code changes, not every route through the new adapters; whether Uniswap screens the pools behind those adapters remains unconfirmed.
