Binance CEO Controls 64% of BNB Supply #Crypto

Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, reportedly owns 94 million Binance Coin (BNB), amounting to 64% of the total BNB supply, as per Forbes. This significant holding underscores CZ’s substantial influence within the Binance ecosystem and the broader cryptocurrency market.

CZ accumulated his BNB through initial company allocation and unsold ICO tokens. In 2017, Binance’s inception saw CZ and his team receive 80 million BNB, with CZ personally holding 41.6 million BNB due to his shareholdings. Additionally, unsold tokens from Binance’s ICO were redirected to wallets under CZ and Binance’s control.

Forbes estimates CZ’s net worth at $61 billion, making him the 24th richest person globally. This valuation includes BNB assets stored in Binance wallets, worth over $35 billion. CZ’s control over such a large percentage of BNB can significantly influence its price and market stability.

The insights provided by Forbes highlight CZ’s pivotal role in the crypto industry. His actions and decisions have far-reaching impacts, making him a key figure in the ongoing evolution of the crypto market. This concentration of power within Binance is crucial for investors to consider.
