Solana ETF Launch by 3iQ in Canada

3iQ, a Canadian digital asset management firm, has filed for the first Solana-based spot ETF in North America on June 20, 2024. The ETF, named QSOL, aims to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE), offering unprecedented access to Solana tokens (SOL).

QSOL will simplify investing in Solana by eliminating the complexities of digital asset management. Solana, known for its high transaction speeds and low costs, boasts a market capitalization of around $65 billion as of June 2024, making it appealing for DeFi and NFT developers.

Significantly, QSOL will be available across Canada (except Quebec) and could yield a 6-8% profit through Solana token staking. Coinbase Custody and Tetra Trust will serve as custodians, providing the necessary institutional infrastructure.

This move by 3iQ potentially accelerates the adoption of Solana, enhancing its integration within the broader crypto ecosystem, and marks a critical milestone in North American cryptocurrency investment products.
