The Solana Foundation said Samsung Wallet’s Stablecoin Account went live on November 2 for eligible US Galaxy users. They can buy, hold, send and receive USDC on Solana, but the roughly 82 million compatible US devices cited in the announcement are not a count of active users.
Users must be at least 18, live in the US, have a Samsung account and use a compatible Galaxy device running Android 13 or later. New York residents were excluded at launch. Samsung says it charges no fee for USDC transfers to eligible Wallet users or compatible external wallets, though other providers may charge fees. Bank payouts to qualifying accounts in more than 60 countries are also available to eligible users; routes and charges vary by destination.
