Crypto commentator Ash Crypto said 0.7 bitcoin was worth more than IDR 1 billion. The source estimates its value at about IDR 1.04 billion, using a bitcoin price near $82,700 and an exchange rate of about IDR 17,995 per dollar. It gives no clear date for that valuation.
The source says the rupiah moved from IDR 16,687 per dollar at the start of 2026 to roughly 18,000 by late October. Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority counted 23.21 million crypto accounts in August 2026, up 1.23% from the previous month; that is an account count, not a count of individual traders.
