Bitcoin ETF Hits $18.5B AUM in 6 Months

BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, has achieved a record $18.5 billion in assets under management in just six months since its launch in January. On July 16, the ETF saw a significant inflow of $260 million, adding 4,005 BTC to its holdings.

This milestone coincides with ongoing strong inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, which have continued for eight consecutive days. Notably, BlackRock’s IBIT has absorbed the $18.6 billion outflows from Grayscale’s GBTC, pushing the total Bitcoin ETF AUM to a record $16 billion.

Throughout July, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have recorded positive inflows, except for two days. BlackRock’s IBIT also registered over $1 billion in trading volume for two consecutive days, showcasing strong investor confidence.

The consistent inflows and high trading volumes underscore the rising institutional and retail interest in Bitcoin ETFs. This trend is expected to have lasting impacts on the cryptocurrency market, highlighting the strategic importance of such investment products.
