Nasdaq approved the listing and trading of two Franklin Templeton ETFs, FBEQ and FIBT, according to an SEC filing. The approval brings the funds closer to launch; the source does not say they have begun trading.
The funds are designed to start with 95% in U.S. stocks and 5% in Bitcoin-related instruments, then direct stock dividends into Bitcoin exposure after each ex-dividend date. Bitcoin exposure would come through Bitcoin ETPs and other Franklin Templeton instruments, not direct Bitcoin holdings. The indexes cap Bitcoin weight at 20% and cut allocations above 5% back to 4.5%. Each ETF has a 0.09% management fee.
