Heather Morgan, also known as Razzlekhan, was spotted at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, despite her guilty plea for the 2016 Bitfinex hack involving 120,000 BTC.
Jameson Lopp, co-founder of Bitcoin security provider Casa, revealed on X that Morgan has been seen at multiple Bitcoin events over the past year. This raises suspicions about her continued freedom without sentencing.
Morgan and her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, were arrested in 2022 for laundering the stolen crypto. Morgan was granted house arrest on a $3 million bail, while Lichtenstein remains jailed. Morgan now claims to be a “web3 advisor.”
Their potential sentences could reach up to 25 years, highlighting the seriousness of their crimes.
