BlackRock’s IBIT ETF Holds $18B in Bitcoin

BlackRock’s IBIT ETF holds $18 billion in BTC amid continuous inflows. According to data provided by Farside Investors, spot BTC ETFs saw $216.4 million in inflows on Tuesday, marking their third consecutive day of inflows. The IBIT ETF specifically recorded $121 million in inflows on July 9, pushing its market cap to $18.04 billion.

However, on May 1, the ETF experienced a rare day of net outflows, losing $36.9 million. In contrast, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) had $37.5 million in net outflows, despite starting the week with $25.1 million in inflows on July 8. The GBTC ETF has seen over $18.6 billion in net outflows since its U.S. launch. Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) also faced $4.7 million in outflows.

Even though Tuesday’s inflows were smaller than Monday’s $295 million, they helped sustain the bullish momentum in the crypto market. Bitcoin reached an intraday high of $59,400, the first in a week, and is currently trading at $59,200. This ongoing trend underscores the growing confidence and strategic importance of Bitcoin ETFs in the financial ecosystem.
