Bitcoin fell more than 6% to $75,463 on Bitstamp, its lowest level since Sept. 16, as US stocks sold off and gave back gains made after the midterm elections. The S&P 500 fell 2.7%, while the Nasdaq Composite lost more than 4%.
Bitcoin briefly dipped below its 50-week simple moving average, then at $75,733, putting that level’s role as support under pressure rather than confirming a sustained break. CoinGlass data showed nearly $500 million in crypto positions liquidated in the first hour of US trading, with 24-hour liquidations nearing $850 million at the time of writing.
