Bitcoin holds $76K; analysts: stocks price gridlock

Bitcoin rose 0.7% at the Wall Street open, with TradingView data showing BTC/USD near $77,000 and still above a recent low of about $76,300. US stocks also rose, but the possible effect of the midterm elections on Congress remained uncertain: polls suggested Democratic gains, while some analysts cautioned that the results could be less decisive.

The Kobeissi Letter argued that markets were pricing in the prospect of two years of political gridlock; that was its analysis, not a confirmed outcome. WTI crude oil fell to $93.59 a barrel, its lowest level since Oct. 15, despite a US strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island.
