Bitcoin briefly fell below $81,000 after the US market opened on Friday, reaching $80,988 before recovering to about $81,600 at the time of the report, according to TradingView data. US stocks opened lower, while Brent crude rose nearly 3% to $116 a barrel.
Bitcoin remained below its 50-day simple moving average of $81,781. Material Indicators cofounder Keith Alan said that if it failed to reclaim that level by the daily close, he would look for a support test in the $78,000–$80,000 range.
