Utexo plans to launch USDT on Bitcoin through the RGB protocol on Nov. 28, with Lightning Network support planned for the first quarter of 2027. The launch has not happened; an earlier Tether plan to launch USDT on RGB in August 2025 did not go ahead.
Utexo opened early access to its Mint product on Oct. 22, but testing is limited to verified professional operators on Bitcoin’s Signet test network. Mint locks USDT0 on Arbitrum before issuing an equivalent amount on Bitcoin, so users must also rely on the mechanism connecting the networks to release funds when they redeem. Utexo says Mint has been audited, but the full report is not public.
