Strategy is looking to fund more Bitcoin purchases through preferred-share offerings. On its third-quarter earnings call, executive chairman Michael Saylor said the company could create up to $30 billion in “digital credit” using its existing balance sheet, without another common-stock capital raise or further Bitcoin price gains. That figure is a possible capacity, not an announced fundraising target.
CEO Phong Le said issuing digital credit would be the main way to buy more Bitcoin. He said that if Strategy raised $1 billion to $2 billion in a month through its STRC preferred shares, it could put some proceeds into dollar reserves and spend the rest on Bitcoin. Strategy reported $19.53 billion in third-quarter net income, largely driven by a $20.91 billion gain in the value of its digital assets.
