Geothermal Energy Powers 474 BTC Mining

Since 2021, El Salvador has leveraged its volcanic geothermal energy to mine nearly 474 BTC, showcasing a pioneering approach to sustainable cryptocurrency mining. This initiative not only boosts the country’s Bitcoin reserves to over 5750 BTC, valued at nearly $356 million but also addresses the critical environmental concerns associated with traditional mining methods.
